As we continue to expand around the globe, we’re also growing our support for languages of Glooko users with diabetes and related chronic conditions.
In Glooko Mobile Release Version 5.18, we updated our food database in our mobile app to better support users in the U.K., France, Germany and Spain. The app’s database, which has more than 500,000 items, now has new, unique regional food items that are searchable in British English, French, German and Spanish and offers users the ability to explore nutritional facts, including carbohydrates, calories, fats and proteins.
For people with diabetes, food is a critical component in the management of their condition. The update to the Glooko food database helps users better track food intake by enabling them to log a wider variety of food items in four new languages via the mobile app and keep a historical account of how food affects their condition.
In addition to manually searching the database and selecting a food item to track, users can also log food in our mobile app by using voice capture, a feature not available in many of the leading food tracking apps, or the barcode scanner.
Alongside information about their food intake, users are able to see all their synced data from their meter, insulin pump or pen, CGM, food app, activity tracker and blood pressure device in one place and make more informed decisions about their health.
